Melissa Marciano, LMHC, NCC received her Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences (Criminology/Social Work) from the University of South Florida and her Masters of Science in Counseling & Psychology: Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Troy University.
A State of Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a National Certified Counselor, Melissa began her career in the field of mental health in 2007 while still completing her undergraduate degree, and has worked in a multitude of settings, providing various therapeutic modalities to a wide range of clients. |
She has worked with adolescents and adults involved in the justice system and/or suffering from co-occurring disorders and addictions. She has experience working in adult residential and inpatient facilities. Some of these facilities included Baker Act receiving units, as well as outpatient centers. In addition to providing in-home services for families involved with Child Protective Services, Melissa has worked with children and adults on the Autism Spectrum, and their families, utilizing play therapy and sensory integration, as well as individuals recovering from Eating Disorders.
Melissa currently provides a multidisciplinary approach with her clients primarily utilizing CBT, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Exposure therapy, and EMDR….and her pup-assistant, Schooner. |

Heather McKee, LCSW completed her undergraduate education at the University of South Florida earning a Bachelor of Social Work degree with a specialization in child welfare and a focus in women’s studies. Heather then went on to graduate school where she received a Master of Social Work degree in clinical social work.
After becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Work in the state of Florida in 2014, Heather also became a certified clinical social work supervisor. She has had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, and has explored many different therapeutic strategies to support her clients. Heather has worked in a hospital settings supporting patients and families through medical diagnosis and treatment, as well as a pediatric hospital providing counseling in a chronic care clinic. Her therapeutic experience also includes work in the academic setting providing counseling, mentoring, and behavioral supports to students in pre-K through college. Heather’s work has also included assisting families of children who have recently been hospitalized for suicidal or homicidal ideation under the Florida Baker Act. In her work she has gained skills in working with family struggles, parenting stress, women’s issues, and postpartum adjustments. |
